I’m Zhanna Kens, a fashion designer and multimedia artist. I create ZKoriginal to share the joy of creating and the freedom to express yourself through what you wear.
Life gives me endless inspiration: the spiral of an ancient fossil, the movement of water, a flower unfolding, an unexpected meeting of colors. Through imagination and prayer, those discoveries become original artwork. Through fashion, that artwork becomes part of your everyday life.

A Lifetime of Creating
My story began in Russia, where my grandmother Zoya gave me my first sewing machine when I was five. I started making dresses for my dolls, discovering the joy of turning an idea into something I could hold in my hands.
That love of creating took me to Moscow, then to the United States in 1994. In 2002, I founded my fashion business.
For more than two decades, I have created couture and costumes for dancers, skaters, performers, pageant queens, and people celebrating meaningful moments. Designing for performance taught me to consider how a garment moves, how it feels, and how it expresses the person wearing it.
I bring that experience to every ZKoriginal collection.
When the World Paused, a New Possibility Opened
ZKoriginal was born during the COVID lockdowns.
The stages closed. Events disappeared. The world that had shaped so much of my couture work became quiet. In that stillness, I began transforming my original fractal artwork into wearable art.
I wanted the beauty, movement, and individuality I brought to couture to become part of everyday life; something you could wear on a walk, while traveling, meeting friends, or simply enjoying your day.
That became ZKoriginal: a lifestyle brand where my art and fashion come together.
Original Art, Designed to Move With You
Every collection begins with artwork I create. I then reshape the composition for each garment, considering its silhouette, proportions, and movement.
A dress tells the story differently from a jacket. A pair of leggings gives the patterns another rhythm. Each piece has its own personality while belonging to a larger collection.
Fractal patterns are central to my work. Their repeating forms and intricate details invite discovery: look closely, and there is always something more to see.
From clothing and accessories to wall art, ZKoriginal brings color, imagination, and originality into the way you dress and the spaces you inhabit.
Why I Create
I believe beauty can lift your spirit. Color can invite playfulness. What you wear can help you express a part of yourself that words cannot quite capture.
That is why I create: to bring beauty into people’s lives and open possibilities for self-expression.
My designs carry my imagination. When you wear them, you bring your own presence, personality, and story. Together, they become something new.
